General policy regarding protection of personal data
As a company specialised in freight transport and logistics, CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA is aware of the risks related to the collection and use of personal data and therefore considers the protection of personal data and each individual’s right to privacy as major concerns.
The General Policy regarding Protection of Personal Data specifies the commitments made by CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA and all its employees to allow responsible collection and use of Personal Data within the strict framework of its business.
CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA collects and processes Personal Data in compliance with applicable European laws and regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and with the national laws and regulations of the countries where the Subsidiaries of the Group are based.

The legitimate interests pursued by CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA when seeking to fulfil the following purposes:
– Prospecting and operations;
– Managing relationships with existing customers and prospective customers;
– Organisation, registration and invitations to events organised by the company.
Enforcement of pre-contractual or contractual measures where a processing operation is implemented for the purpose of:
– Production, management and follow-up of customer files;
– Debt recovery.
Compliance with legal and regulatory obligations where a processing operation is implemented for the purpose of:
– Invoicing;
– Accounting.
CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA keeps the data only for the time needed for the operations for which such data were collected and in compliance with the regulations in force.
With regard thereto, customer data are kept for the duration of the contractual relationship increased by 3 years for the purposes of operations and prospecting, without prejudice to retention obligations or limitation periods. For accounting purposes, data are kept for 10 years from the end of the accounting year.
Data concerning prospective customers are kept for a period of 3 years if no participation or registration for the company’s events has taken place.
The data processed are intended for the authorised persons at CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA, as well as for its service providers.
In compliance with the conditions defined by the French Data Protection Act and the European Data Protection Regulation, individuals have a right of access, correction, verification, limitation, portability and deletion of data concerning them.
Persons concerned by data processing operations carried out also have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to their particular situation, to the processing of personal data on the basis of the legitimate interests of CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA; they also have the right to oppose commercial prospection.
They also have the right to define general and specific guidelines defining how they intend the above-mentioned rights to be exercised after their death, by sending an e-mail to the following address: stephane.kuentz@channelfret-international.com, or by posting a letter to CHANNELFRET INTERNATIONAL SA, with a copy of a signed identity document.
The persons concerned have the right to lodge a complaint with the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
